Overview
Medefield provides data collection services to healthcare market research, consulting and communication agencies around the globe. Our physician community is the largest, highest-quality resource of its type in the world. Medefield provides its clients with both reliability and simplicity in conducting Internet-based research with physicians of all specialties in all geographies. Client satisfaction scores are exceptionally high, with 98% of clients rating their experience positively.

Medefield grew revenues 40% in 2009, even in the difficult economy. New client relationships grew, as did business volumes with existing clients because of our unmatched expertise in the healthcare arena and our strong sales ethic. Medefield continues to invest heavily in expanding its physician communities, despite its leadership position, increasing capacity in existing countries and adding new ones. Medefield provides physician sample in over 42 countries today. In late 2009, Medefield introduced MedeQual, a proprietary online qualitative platform with full audio/video capabilities. Early client response has been extremely positive. MedeQual opens new doors and new revenue streams and is indicative of future service introductions Medefield will be making.

The Role
Medefield's business is highly competitive and requires individuals who are committed to excellence and not afraid of the hard work that yields high rewards. The role is a challenging one, but is one where the rewards, both personal and financial, are high.

The primary requirement is to deliver outstanding revenue success by prospecting for and building new account relationships. Outstanding skill and experience in the areas of prospecting and new client development are required, along with outstanding client service. Medefield is an entrepreneurial, open, client-focused culture, so the ability to make things happen on your own initiative is critical. Responsibilities
  • Build new business relationships through executive cold calling from accounts that have not yet been penetrated, converting awareness into sales.
  • Identify and close sales opportunities, driving consistent revenue growth and achieving or exceeding quarterly and annual goals.
  • Meet or exceed goals through face to face sales meetings, phone and email contacts, proposals, briefings, etc.
  • Actively track activities and plan follow-up steps.
  • Provide reliable sales forecasts.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain outstanding customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Deliver customized client sales and account presentations with a minimum of 4 live meetings per week.
  • Leverage and follow-up on results of marketing campaigns.
  • Play a positive role in setting and managing client expectations, ensuring outstanding Client Satisfaction Scores are achieved.
  • Travel to client meetings with an average of 6-8 overnights per month.

Qualifications
  • Candidates must have experience in either data collection services sales (pharmaceutical preferred, but not required) or pharmaceutical market research sales.
  • Minimum 5-10 years consultative sales experience with proven track record of consistent success.
  • Large account sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to consistently meet and exceed sales and profit goals.
  • Must be the classic self-starter that doesn't need to be spoon fed.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including in-person and phone/web presentations.
  • Above average technology aptitude. Must be comfortable with a wide-variety of software applications and web technologies.
